Life @ Hind Motor!

I know the title itself will create some enthu among all HMites to read this short blurb! Born in Hind Motors in 1980...my life started in TH-61. With my elder sister and parents I used to get company of loads of same age friends. The day used to start around 5 am getting ready for school. The HM Bus was fun...I am sure everyone will feel tired and shock if I say we used to travel almost for 3 hours to & fro to study. Yah HM to Kolkata in HM school bus was fun... friends together we used to study in morning and while returning back either complete or sleep or shout till the conductors...Bhishu bahiya, Mahinder shouted back at us to sit @ our seats. Getting down from the bus if the roads were blocked was our another passion.

Reaching back @ home at 5.00 pm and them eat something at home and again pop down to play or gossip with friends.. This used to continue for 1-2 hours or may extend if my mother is not at home or she does not shout back "ghar jaldi aana"....I remember the sunsan road of New flat where there were more jackels than human beings and during winter time it was completely barren. Indeed a good place for couples to hide and of course a good masala gossip for all of us.

All festivals were celebrated together, may be Janmasthami, Saraswati puja, Durga Puja, Diwali, Holi etc. How can I forget the CAMP FIRE where all love stories used to start and not end anywhere?? Peer pressure, we faced it a lot, if you dont have a girl friend you will be teased till you have one! Now when I look back those where the Infatuations we all faced and I am damn sure all my friends have thier so called First CRUSH....in HM!

Next to mention how can I forget the Tarak da Ghumati, which was boys hang out place or I can say a punch in - punch out of anyone who entered HM colony. You name it and the guys sitting their can give you complete details of who/ how/when came to HM colony.

God the list is endless about HM...HM school (Singh anuty/ Kapoor Anuty/ Sen anuty/ Krishna Anuty)these are the few quick picks from mind...but yah the cream of teachers we could have ever got...

Today we all are separate but still connected through these Social Media groups (SMM). So guys if ever you read this short blurb, comment on it and add more memories. I am sure you will remember some funny incident and post in here. I shall also keep updating it!

Hi
Its Thursday morning and the day started early for me. We have the content meeting in office, which bores me like anything! As there is no issues and we need to sit and discuss things. God save me from it.

Beside the lovely part of my life is my Daughter AVYA and I love to spend time with her. She got up late today and so I couldn't toilet train her for her regular habits! Now she will do it with her PAPA:) Anand loves to take care of her too:- Hey great I got some nice topics to share with you all about my child rearing practices. I would love to share some as there are some common issues that all working women face when they have to leave their children back Home either with their grandparents or maids.....

Long time no SEE!

Hi All,

Its been long time I commented on my blog, but will try to have a regular habit now! Post some social comments soon! Just few minutes back I commented on Mudita's blog and it geared me to write on mine too:)

She has posted some comment on Jainism. Adding my views on the same:

All Religions were based on some scientific cause and we human beings have distorted it as per our convenience. Being born in jain family, I hardly know about Jainism rituals...in childhood used to visit jain temple once a year (as lived in Hind Motors, suburbs of Kolkata). But when got married and shifted to Indore I was shocked ...the cultural difference and the SHOW off are immense! Conducting rallies on marked days, Boli during Pajusan, saints (specially female saints) engaging house wives in all religious activities during Chau masa and then collecting all the gossips about the area seems mere waste of time to me. I don’t know commenting about them will be good or bad, but since this blog has given me a nice platform to do so…I would like to share it (sorry if it hurts anyone’s feelings).

Few days back heard about a family having five daughters and all daughters eventually took Diksha. Reason was the mother didn’t have enough money to get them married so they were asked to take up Diksha. It was bought in their minds from childhood so all daughters accepted it willingly! So how will you comment on this! Is being born as a girl child such a burden to family! And Does this was preached by Mahavira?? I am not a strict follower of Jainism. I just believe in a supreme power GOD! But how much I can really understand is Jainism has nothing to do with compulsion and force. Its all about peace, wisdom and prosperity!!
